There are many reasons to try the new healing bath salts. I have listed the ingredients and their purpose below for your consideration.
Dead Sea Salts
100% Premium Coarse Dead Sea Salt have been reknowned for their therapeutic effect since ancient times. The balance of the salts in Dead Sea water are magnesium, potassium, calcium chloride and bromides.
Magnesium is important for both combating stress and fluid retention, slowing skin aging and calming the nervous system. Calcium is effective at preventing water retention, increasing circulation and strengthening bones and nails. Potassium energizes the body, helps to balance skin moisture and is a crucial mineral to replenish following intense exercise. Bromides act to ease muscle stiffness and relax muscles. Sodium is important for the lymphatic fluid balance (this in turn is important for immune system function). So we can see that bathing in high quality sea salt could replenish the minerals which are critical to our skin metabolism.
Epsom salt, named for a bitter saline spring at Epsom in Surrey, England, is not actually salt but a naturally occurring pure mineral compound of magnesium and sulfate. Studies have shown that magnesium and sulfate are both readily absorbed through the skin, making Epsom salt baths an easy and ideal way to enjoy the amazing health benefits. Magnesium plays a number of roles in the body including regulating the activity of over 325 enzymes, reducing inflammation, helping muscle and nerve function and helping to prevent artery hardening.
Sulfates help improve the absorption of nutrients, flush toxins and help ease migraine headaches.
Stress drains the body of magnesium and increases levels of adrenaline. When dissolved in warm water, Epsom salt is absorbed through the skin and replenishes the level of magnesium in the body. An Epsom salt bath is also known to ease pain and relieve inflammation, making it beneficial in the treatment of sore muscles, bronchial asthma and migraine headaches.
A baking soda bath neutralizes acids and promotes the elimination of toxins. Baking soda, which is technically sodium bicarbonate, has an alkalizing effect on the body and assists the body to detoxify as it draws out toxins from the skin. It soothes skin and softens the bath water as it balances the body's pH factor.
Benefits of Selenite
Selenite exists at one of the highest vibrations in the mineral kingdom. It is extremely useful in any healing treatment. Selenite has been used by the cosmetic industry for many years. It can assist with wrinkles, age spots, acne, itchy dry sking, eczema, psoriasis, shingles and more. It helps maintain skin elasticity and helps release toxins from the skin.
Selenite also works with the emotional body to stabilize and bring emotional upset under control. As it is water soluble, the selenite will melt away into the water as it helps to bring us into alignment with peace, tranquility and the connection to our heart center.
Selenite has been used by many during meditation as it is connected to the feminine energy and is often thought to open the connection through the crown, third eye and soul star chakra. It is also known to help with mental clarity and understanding deeper meanings in any situation.
Selenite is a sacred stone and I am so pleased to be able to add it to the bath salts to help assist others with healing.
Aromatherapy has been used for many centuries to help calm the nervous system. Smelling the oils activates the olfactory system and can bring about a shift in emotions. Aromatherapy baths can provide relief from stress and anxiety, assist with muscle pains, or offer a sensual introduction to a romantic evening with your partner. Each one of our bath salt blends includes soothing scents to help melt away stress to help relax the body and mind.
Coloring Made with Herbs
The coloring in the bath salts are all natural and made with herbs blended in grapeseed oil. We do not use any artificial coloring in our products. The herbs for coloring added to the blends are rosehip powder (frankincense & myrrh blend), lavender and powdered elderberry (lavender ylang ylang blend) and calendula petals (orange patchoulu blend).
